A Private Chef is employed by a single client full time.  They will usually prepare three meals daily every day and might even live in a client-provided room in their home.

A Personal Chef has many clients and provides multiple meals custom designed for each client.  Typically a Personal Chef will cook for one client each day.  The meals prepared are packaged and stored so that the client can enjoy them at their leisure.

What are the benefits of having a personal chef?

It has become the trend for both partners to be working in a household these days. What often suffers is the quality time at the dinner table. Having a personal chef allows you to sit down, and enjoy a delicious meal at your own table in the privacy of your own home.

How does the Personal Chef service work?

First, we will meet to discuss your specific needs and wants. This includes food preferences, allergies, intolerances or any special requests. We will work together to develop a menu for your first cook date. Then we can decide on the first cook date and payment is made in advance on that date.

Do you cook in my kitchen?
Yes. On the cook date I will bring all the groceries along with my equipment and prepare your meals in the safety of your own kitchen.

Do you do the grocery shopping?
Yes. I will do all of the grocery shopping that is necessary for your meals on the morning of your cook date so that your ingredients are as fresh as possible.

No. you do not have to be home on your cooking date. I do ask that you are home, to show me in on the first cook date. When we book your cooking date, we will discuss house entry, pet arrangements and other specifics I may need to know

I’ll be home that day. Is it okay if I watch or help?
As much as I would love your company while I am cooking, my first concern is safety. Distractions can easily cause burns or cuts; and since several different recipes are being prepared simultaneously, it is best to limit other activity. This also helps to ensure excellent quality of your meals. I would be happy to chat or answer any questions before or after, and I am always happy to answer any questions or take suggestions through email or phone.

Do I pay ahead for each cooking date?
Yes. It is customary to pay for the service in advance of your cooking date along with a deposit for the cost of food. Payment can be made for your upcoming cook date on the day I am cooking.

How are groceries paid for?

A grocery deposit will be collected in advance for the first cook week
